Volunteers play a vital role in making carnival a success, whether you’re helping on the day or helping in some other way during the year. We aim to develop events with partners to engage diverse communities throughout the year and we need help to do this, as well as with the many preparations needed for the Huntingdon Carnival event.
Anyone can volunteer. You don’t need any previous experience and there are lots of volunteer roles to choose from. All you need to do is give your time to help make this year’s carnival the biggest and best yet!
Why Volunteer?
You’ll become part of the dedicated carnival events team, have fun and meet and work with new people. There’s also the satisfaction you’ll get from helping to make such a fantastic event possible for the local community. And it’s great experience for your CV too.
How will the Carnival Team support me?
You will be given an induction and training on all aspects of your role. We will be available to give you continuous support, advice and guidance.

Each year we like to make Huntingdon Carnival a bit different and a bit better than the year before. So, have you got a bright idea for something new that we haven’t already thought of, either for Carnival day or for an event or workshop or other activity we could do in the lead up to Carnival to help raise funds and/or reach out to more people to get involved in different ways?

Hold an Event
Huntingdon Carnival aims to develop events with partners to engage diverse communities throughout the year.
Do you have a venue in Huntingdon? Would you like to get involved on Carnival day and host an event, music stage or exhibition before or during Carnival? Could you help raise funds to help cover the costs of the Huntingdon Carnival event by holding a pre-carnival fundraising event? Or perhaps you have got a bright idea for something which meets our aims, and need help to develop it.
