2023 Carnival Weekend

There’s only a month to go now before the Carnival parade makes its way from the town down to the Riverside Park on Saturday 12th August.  Huntingdon’s amazing 2 day Carnival and Live in the Park Music Festival is a free entry event for all the community to enjoy.

But it won’t be Carnival unless you are there!

If you would like to join in the parade, there’s still time to register – go to the “Get Involved” page here on our website and press the “join the procession” button for details.  Each year the carnival procession has got more colourful and better dressed than the year before.  There is a prize too for the best dressed entrant and a number of other prizes in other categories.  The Mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr Philip Pearce, will present the prizes in the Carnival Arena once the parade has arrived at the Riverside Park at around 12.30pm.

There’s also still time to register for charity or trade stall, so download the form and send it off today.   You will need to send other documents along with form so do read it carefully.

We have had confirmation from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight that we will be honoured with a flypast on both days of the Carnival.  On Saturday it will be the Hurricane and on Sunday it’s the splendid Spitfire.

This year, we hoping, if the weather is not too hot, to welcome our local Cromwell Vets who will be organising a dog show.  There are many classes which you can enter your dog into on the day.

This year’s LIVE IN THE PARK has a great line up of local talent.  Do come down and bring your chairs or blankets to sit and enjoy some old favourite  performers and some brand new acts.   A great open air day of music.    The food outlets and some of the stalls and fair ground rides will still be with us.

And all this is FREE!

See you on the 12th & 13th August – Riverside Park – come and join us!
