2022 Carnival Weekend

The Carnival Committee are pleased to announce that this year’s Carnival and Live in the Park is happening again on the Riverside Park in Huntingdon.   This is a free community event, parade and music festival on 13th and 14th August.

Come and join us in making a Carnival atmosphere.

The Carnival parade leaves at 12 noon and will pass through the streets of Huntingdon from the Market Square down to the Riverside Park via Princes St and the Hartford Road, crossing the ring road and on to the arena area in the park.  The parade will be led by the Cambridge Samba Band.  This year’s theme for the parade is Platinum Jubilee in celebration of the our Queen’s lengthy reign.  Prizes are awarded for the Best in the Parade and other categories – there is still time to enter – do fill in the form and come along.

On Carnival Day we have arena displays by Miss Molly, Huntingdon Ukuleles, Generation Dance Academy and Debs Zumba group.

We have all the fun of the fair with super rides and stalls, plus community, charity, craft and commercials stalls.  Lots of refreshments and of course, ice cream!

On Sunday its our Music Festival with Live in the Park.

We have 7 live and local groups to entertain you from 12 noon through to around 7pm.

Our headliners this year are Big 10.

Supporting acts through the afternoon are The Decanters, So 80’s Babblefish, The Knottleys, Alternative Split and Tenmoku.

We will also have a Spitfire flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial flight.

All this entertainment is free!  Come along and bring your own chair.

The fair and refreshment units will still be available on Sunday as will some of the stalls.

We have a great Carnival planned for you, so do join us!
